David Proshan, Partner and General Counsel, began working for Kerberos in 2023. He handles a wide variety of matters, including legal and regulatory, transactions with borrowers/counterparties, fund formation and investor relations, among others. Previously, he was Managing Director (Legal) at Brevet Capital Management, a private credit firm. He had previously served as associate general counsel at Goldman Sachs. Prior to that, he was general counsel at a few alternative investment firms - D.B. Zwirn & Co., Libra Advisors and Axial Capital. He also served in the capacity of chief compliance officer at the latter two firms. David began his career as a litigator at law firms including Weil, Gotshal & Manges, followed by a federal clerkship with the Honorable Edward R. Korman in New York City. He then spent several years as a corporate associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom before moving in-house. David graduated with an A.B., cum laude, in philosophy from Princeton University. He also received an M.A. from the University of Oxford in Jurisprudence (Law) and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
